2024東華秋藝季在德國的跨界重奏與瑞典的AORA人聲樂團之後，迎來的是由四位來自俄羅斯的頂尖音樂家齊聚組成的Alex Sipiagin爵士四重奏。
 
Alex Sipiagin爵士四重奏的每位音樂家在樂壇中都佔有舉足輕重的地位：瘋迷全球的鼓手Gene Jackson；90年代初以來最頂尖、葛萊美獎等級的貝斯手Boris Kozlov；榮獲金曲獎三大獎項和多個獎項肯定的鋼琴手許郁瑛；以及Alex Sipiagin，自90年代以來轟動國際爵士樂壇的小號手，斬獲4次葛萊美獎，曾與the Gil Evans Orchestra、the George Gruntz Concert Jazz Band等同台演出。截至2024年Alex已發行超過三十張個人專輯，更將最新的專輯命名為《Live in Taiwan》。
 
毫不誇張地說，這個陣容的四位音樂家不論是到哪裡，都可以是一流爵士樂團的團長，而這次他們除了在台中爵士音樂節合體外，也將在東華大學音樂廳演奏一系列Alex的原創作品，帶給聽眾前所未有的史詩級聽覺饗宴！

After the crossover ensemble from Germany and the AORA vocal group from Sweden, the 2024 NDHU Autumn Festival welcomes the Alex Sipiagin Jazz Quartet, composed of four top musicians from Russia.

Each member in Alex Sipiagin Jazz Quartet holds a significant position in the music world：the world-renowned drummer, Gene Jackson；one of the top Grammy-level bassists since the early 1990s, Boris Kozlov；a three-time major award winner at the Golden Melody Awards and recipient of many other accolades, pianist Yu-Ying, Shu；and Alex Sipiagin, a trumpeter who made waves in the international jazz scene since the 1990s is a four-time Grammy Award winner. He also performed alongside the Gil Evans Orchestra, the George Gruntz Concert Jazz Band and others. As of 2024, Alex has released over 30 solo albums, with his latest album titled 'Live in Taiwan.'

It’s no exaggeration to say that any of these four musicians could lead a top-tier jazz band wherever they go. This time, in addition to performing together at the Taichung Jazz Festival, they are going to present a series of Alex's original works at the NDHU music hall and offer the audience an unprecedented epic auditory feast!
