Hey, let’s dance together!

We would like to invite you to come to the Lakeside Plaza at 19:00 on Apr. 18, and swing to the rhythm of jazz music with us! With a live performance by the NDHU Jazz Band, accompanied by the starry sky and a gentle breeze, allowing our body to move freely to the rhythm. What you need to bring are just a pair of comfortable shoes for movement, and a ready-to-dance heart.

What is Swing Dance? It originated in the early 20th century in the US, and is a lively and rhythmically upbeat social dance. Alone with the rise of jazz music, swing dance became the most popular dance style at that time. There are no standard steps in swing dance, the focus is on the interaction and the sense of rhythm with your partner. So even if you've never danced before, you can easily get the hang of it and enjoy the joy of moving with others!

This time, we especially invited the first swing dance group in Taiwan, Naughty Swing, to provide the teaching. They combine the background with street dance, and are often active in swing dance competitions both domestically and internationally, even winning the championships of the world swing dance competition in 2018 and 2022! Such an amazing dance group! Whether you've danced before, everyone is welcome to shake off the stress of midterms and swing with us together!
